In the new artwork PERPETUUM, you meet moving ‘movement donors’ from the Motus Mori archive in an immersive and deeply touching video installation.
Each time different people from the Motus Mori archive are made visible on a monumental scale. As you get closer, you stand face to face with them and hear the stories behind their movements. In a sea of light, your personal movement also becomes visible.
You can become part of this archive of human movement. PERPETUUM is touring Europe and in some cities we will interview and film people.
We will be in:
Brussels february 2026 [dates follow]
Regensburg march 2026 [dates will follow]
Groningen [dates will follow]
Leipzig [dates will follow]
Pula - Croatia [dates will follow]
How does it work?
First you make an appointment to be ‘interviewed’. There we will make a small choreography together, which will be filmed in front of a greenscreen. The whole process takes about an hour. Then – after editing - your film is presented, with many others, in the video-installation.
Who can participate?
Every ‘body’ from up age 10 can do it! You do not need any dancing-experience. Just be yourself; we are looking for movements that are typically you. You can also do it together, as parent and child, partners of best friends.
Where and when?
Katja and her team will create a greenscreen-studio in these cities. The location is accessible with an elevator. We also film in the weekend or the evening, so you can come after work or school.
